Back to Producing

Dear Friends,

We’ve been busy updating our website and those of our clients as well. In addition, we are following the state of the music industry and it’s still in flux. Many industry-only conferences and trade shows are feeling the brunt of this and have been adjusting by shorting their events or opening them up to the public. So, for the time being, we’ll continue playing the waiting game to see how, when, and where the music industry begins to find itself and how we’re going to fit in it.

Currently, we’re negotiating the production of a multi-cultural event in Queens this summer. Talks are proceeding nicely and we’ll be posting news and updates as they become available.

Looking forward,
Ed

Website Updates

Dear Friends,

We’ve been busy here—although our website doesn’t exactly show how busy. But, we’re restructuring internally and have a client list that needs to be served. The website will be undergoing a little bit of a facelift as we add some of the creative content that we’ve been producing for our clients. And we’ll be posting the lastest audio, and video content that we’ve produced.

In addition, we’ll be making some announcements in the near future. So please check back.

Looking forward,
Ed L.

A New Beginning

Dear Friends,

It’s been a while since I posted a blog that was strictly Rockero Media related and Rockero Media alone. In short, the music business has taken its share of casualties and when times get tough the tough improvise to adapt and overcome.

Well, the past few years have been challenging ones to say the least. I’ve had my share of triumphs along with more than my fair share of pitfalls. This past summer I saw many colleagues lose their positions in the music industry to join the fellow unemployed while many of the lucky ones transitioned out of the unforgiving music business.

During this time I was approached by a few local businesses and friends of friends to solve some of their computer-related problems. I welcomed the opportunity and began troubleshooting, rewiring, erasing, rebooting, installing, etc. computers, surround sound, wifi, entertainment centers, plasma tvs. I worked for stay-at-home dads, work-from-home moms, individually-owned businesses, non-profits, and church groups. Everything from minor web design and mass emailings to the ultimate in couch-potato heaven, the surround sound home entertainment system.

I would still pursue the occasional article and consulting gig but there seemed to be a new client base developing. So, after much thought and mounting bills, I decided to shift the focus of my business to “small business internet solutions” that focus on email, websites, social networking, and the like.

As music is still my passion I am still performing, recording, teaching and writing. So, rest assured, my long-awaited solo CD is still in the works.

Yours faithfully,
Ed
